Modelling a nonlinear material in Comsol

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I need to model a nonlinear material in Comsol. The material model consists of a constant damper and a parallel nonlinear spring (the spring model is F=Kx^3, instead of F=Kx). As the spring and damper are in parallel I cannot easily use the viscoelastic material definition in Comsol (as the assumption over there is the model is a generalized Maxwell, but mine is Veigt).

Can someone please help me by letting me know how can I define the nonlinear material?

Thanks,
Yaser
