Two Phase modelling of wax deposits

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am trying to model the shearing of wax deposits with the flow of water. I have modelled the wax deposits as a Non-Newtoninan liquid using the Carreau Model to model the drop in viscosity when the shear stress exceeds the shear strength.

I want to run the simulation for a time period of 1 s, with a time step size of 0.25e-4. However, the simulation only produces results up to 0.001 s, ending with an error: "Last time step is not converged". I have attached my model files and the error file as well. Could you please advise on how to go around this problem.

Also, when I try to add a boundary layer mesh the minimum mesh quality decreases drastically. I am currently using a physics-controlled mesh, but would like to add a boundary layer mesh and also refine the mesh to carry out a mesh dependency study.
