Minimum element quality

Hi everyone,

It is mentioned in one of the COMSOL's Blogs that the minimum element quality should be greater than 0.1, (www.comsol.co.in/blogs/size-parameters-free-tetrahedral-meshing-comsol-multiphysics/) while in other dicussions I have found it to be 0.01. Which is the correct one?
The statistics of the mesh that i have made shows the minimum element quality to be 0.001. How can I increase this value? The other statistics data are:
Tetrahedral Elements : 140935
Pyramid Elements :4270
Prism Elelments : 0
Hexahedral Elements : 802
Triangular elements : 7994
Quadrilateral elements : 650
Edge elements : 624
Vertex elements : 40
How does this mesh (i.e. with low element quality) affect the solution?
Thanks,

A.F
