Problems with going from an RZ to an XYZ geometry

I have a heat flow model in an 2D axial symmetry. The 3D model created from this using the 'Revolve...' option in the draw menu will not then mesh, giving an error 4100 saying it can't mesh some of the subdomains as they fail to respect geometry on edges. I've already tried meshing the subdomains that won't mesh individually but they still won't work. Is there either a solution or way around this?

Hi
have you tried to "revolve mesh" under mesh ?
first mesh your 2D domain (but you need a quad mesh along the axis of symmetry) then you do a Mesh revolve 360° and you have a 3D geoemtry
try it out on a simple case to get the other parameters right, note that you often get very many elements if you do not tweak somewhat the "items per turn"
