Parameterizing the Dimensions of Imported CAD Files

Hi,

i imported an CAD (.sldprt file) to COMSOL.

Now, using this geometry I want to perform an parametric sweep on the geometry (just changing a thickness).

Is there a way to do this or do I have to draw the whole object from scratch in COMSOL?

Dear Bartu,

for that kind of task COMSOL provides the LiveLink for CAD programs (e.g. SolidWorks) - you should keep both COMSOL and your CAD Program open on your computer. COMSOL can then control design variables in the CAD program and force it to tranfer the geometry to COMSOL. This makes geometrical parameterization of CAD files really easy!
