Out of memory in mesh processing

Hello everybody,

I'm trying to simulate the heat transfer on a set of CdTe detectors, which are connected to chips that are heating. I have a big geometry (I have 8 detectors with the corresponding chips...) and the physics are not symmetric, since the chips do not heat with the same intensity in all directions. Therefore I have to construct all the geometry.

I made the mesh as small as I could in order to not to have out of memory problems but I do still have (I defined different mesh for all the different domains, boundaries and edges, and I made the mesh as small as I could one by one). My computer is running at 64 bits.

It is possible to do anything more in order to not to have out of memory problems?

Thank you in advance,

David
