Importing One *.mph geometry into another *.mph file

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi All;

I want to import *.mph geometry into another *.mph model.

Example: You create a model for single phase flow. Now you want to use the same geometry for two phase flow model. You do not need to spend time to create the same geometry into another *.mph file.

How can you get the geometry from the first file and use it for another practice model. Instead to create the complete geometry again.

Thanks

I don't know about 4.3 but for 4.2a: you open one mph file containing the first geometry, go to "Geometry" then "Export to file". While in the Export menu, you export in the "mphbin" format. Then you open the other geometry enclosed in the second mph file. Then via the "Geometry" menu, you will be able to import the mphbin-forrmat file containing the first geometry.
