Optimization with deformed geometry

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello everyone,

I´m quite new at Comsol and I´m using it for a school project, my aim is to study the evolution of the voltage produced by a piezoelectric beam when the height of the beam is changed.

First I tought to use moving mesh but I red on the guide it doesn´t change the mass of the beam, so I tried with Deformed geometry but I can´t get a hold of it.

First of all, to do what I want to do is it correct to use deformed Geometry? If it is how can I make the heigth of the beam change and for example plot a graph of Voltage produced versus thickness of the beam?
