Help with magnetic hydrodymanic simulation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Task:
Simulation of magnetic nozzle effect.
There is a plasma source with known gas pressure, ion-electron density and electron temperature.
There is a magnetic system around the source.
The task is to investigate plasma detachment efficiency as function of magnetic field configuration.

The idea is to defined ionization efficiency in plasma production region (with the assumption of ne=ni) and to simulate ion current and velocity distributions in detachment region, to calculate the ration between total ion current in the source and outgoing current, as detachment efficiency parameter.

The question is how can I defined the constant plasma parameters in the source without using inlet conditions? Do you have examples of MHD simulations in comsol?

Thanks.
