How to get the dimensions i.e distance between a point and curve...as shown in the attachment...

Hii friends..

I need to use material parameter as E= E1* exp(-E2*(d/d0))

where, d is the distance between any point P in the domain from point A on the axis, d0 is the distance of B from point A. One thing is worth noting that A, P and B should be colinear or lie on the same line. The boundary as shown in the figure is obtained by the interpolation method. So, i need to calculate the distance of A from various points (other than what i used to create it) on the interpolation curve .
Earlier, i got the outer points but that is in the post processing part. I need it before calculating the results i.e. before study section as i will be doing optimization by changing the material parameters.
