Heat transfer through a helical structure.

I am currently working on a model where I am trying to estimate the total heat gained by a cold liquid passing through helical pipe with a rectangular cross section which is being heated by a gas flowing perpendicular to the direction of flow of the liquid on the outer surface of the tube To simplify the analysis on a primary basis I am working on stack of pipes placed one above the other with some amount of gap in between them . I would like to know if there is any way to link the outlet parameters (like Temperature, Pressure, Enthalpy, Velocity etc) obtained at the outlet of one pipe to the inlet parameters on the other pipe placed above so that I obtain a continuity. Also can I create a geometry of a helix with a rectangular cross section in COMSOL 4.3 a? I know I can create it for a circular cross section.
