Heat transfer from the pipe to surroundings

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Sir,
We found three options for "Wall Heat transfer" in "Non-Isothermal Pipe Flow" namely
1. Temperature (nitf/nitf)
2. Temperature (nipfl/nipfl)
3. Userdefined. (with an option to check "Take average in adjacent domains)

Can we know what does each of the above mean and what difference it is going to do to the heat transfer from the flow through pipes??

Hi

from my understanding when COMSOL proposes more than "user defined" in a given entry it's because it has detected one or several dependent variables in other existing physics, that have the same dimensions (in your case T temperature), and proposes that you link in one of them, instead of defining yourselff a scalar or a field value

Check yourmodel, how many T have you defined ?

Good luck
