In ComSol 4.2 how can we give different crystal to different grains Please suggest any method , as I am able to change crystal orientation of whole model but not of each boundary unit separately.
Please guide me with it.

Hi

you need to define a coordinate per "domain" so if you have N "grains" you need N domains and either N coordinates, or a random function and an general expression reproducing the N changes for the N domains

I do not see any other way, if I have interpreted your question correctly ;)

Good luck

Hi Ivar
I have to import an Image to a 2D file and than pursue an extrapolation to 3D.
Can you please guide me with the same.

Regards
Yash

Hi

in COMSOl 3D you can ad a workplane and import a 2D file format into this workplane, then extrude that in the Z directin (all to the same height though). Check which 2D file format your version of COMSOl can accept
