Hi all,

Is there any way to simulate a LOAD MOVING along the boundaries of my object (2D)...so I can see how it deforms as the load passes?


Im using the solid mechanics module--> BOUNDARY LOAD??

Hi

most if not all entries of COMSOL can be driven by numbers, scalars or fields variables, so you can define a gaussian force "pulse" that moves over the boundary with an average position driven by the "t" time variable. It's mainly limited by your imagination. The only thing, try to keep your BC expressiosn continuous, avoid "shape" edges, or Dirac type transitions for best convergence
