A question about complex meshes

Hi,

I am confused as to how I should create mesh if the geometry of the model is a large cylinder (say 4000 cm in diameter) with many very small and dense (1000) cylinders (5-15 cm in diameter) inside. They are exactly the same length.

Best Regards

Hi Peijun,

in complex geometries I start with meshing the small domains and work towards the larger connecting domain. You will probably need to customize the meshes according to the requirement of the model physics. Try to work with selections to handle large numbers of domains. Try to apply symmetries if possible. Check if a 3D model can be reduced to 2D.

Cheers Edgar
