Effect of metal on optical mode

Hi, I am trying to simulate the loss effect on the optical mode of a ring resonator when metal electrodes are kept next to it. For this I built an axis symmetry model, with eigen frequency analysis study. My intention is to find the eigen frequencies and observe the imaginary part to get an estimate for the metal/electrode induec loss Now without the electrode material/metal pads, my simulation has been running fine producing the modes. Since my goal is to use Au/gold for electrodes, I used the gold material from the library of the materials available under "Optical-> Inorganic materials -> Au". With the introduction of this material to the simulation, I get the Jacobian error. Assuming that the thinking process is correct, what could be the cause for this error?
