Diffusion Across Interior Boundary

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello All,

Im currently creating a simple model to model the diffusion of a chemical specie through a microsphere into a tissue like material. I want to apply a flux across the interior boundary, but the interior boundary can't be selected. I have tried to bypass it through making the interior boundary an explicit selection, but when I attempt to choose the selection it is listed as "Not applicable". Does anyone have an idea of how I can apply a flux across an interior boundary?

Thanks, Mali Ya Mungu Ocoko

Perhaps you need to define a interfacial layer with certain thickness. Then you can assign the diffusion coefficient in that domain. Of course you can define different diff. coeffs. inside the µ-sphere and outside tissue.
