axis settings for 2D plots

Hi,
Apologies as this post might appear repetetive. I want a surface plot and want to have uniform axes settings (both x and y axes limits : -100 to 100). After going through previous posts I realized I need to play with the axis settings under views node. However, when I enter the the required ranges I get correct range for x-axes but y limits are : -120 : y : 120 (attached image:axes settings_original). By changing the view scale setting to manual I am able to get the required limits on y-axis too (attached image: axes settings_modified). However, this slightly changes the aspect ratio of the surface plot. Also the y grid spacing ticks are different from x grid spacing ticks. I want to make them identical without changing the aspect ratio of the plot. Any suggestions, please ? thanks,
