Hello everyone,
I'm trying to simulate the heating of a journal bearing through viscous dissipation. what i want to do is to manually place the shaft in the bearing (exzentric), let the fluid between them move at a certain speed and let the heat that dissipates heat up the bearing and the shaft aswell.
i can simulate the movement of the fluid by introducing a wall movement on the inner side of the fluid, where the shaft is. i get realistic results for the velocity and the pressure of the fluid, but neither the bearing nor the journal heats up, they stay at the temperature i declared in the initial values setting. the dissipated heat stays in the fluid and eventually the fluid reaches unrealistic temperatures.
i'm using the nonisothermal flow coupling with laminar flow.
my question: how i can achieve heating in every body that is participating?
