Interior Fan, Nonlinear solver did not converge

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello everyone,

i want to make a Heat Tranfer and Laminar flow model with PCM in a cooling box. The PCM-Boxes are behind a wall and a canal is behind them in which the air is flowing from the bottom to the top because of a interior fan (see the picture) after that the air is introduced into the cooling box and sucked in to the canal again.

The Error i get is:

  • Feature: Time-Dependent Solver 1 (sol1/t1) Nonlinear solver did not converge. Maximum number of segregated iterations reached. Time : 0.059138631734326097 Last time step is not converged.

I`ve created several models in which i just implemented the basics (without the pcm, and the foam) but it seems like that the interior fan is not convergent. I tryed to implement a pressure point constraint, made the flow turbolent and changed a lot of other things.

It would be nice if someone could look into the file and give me a hint what i can try to improve my studie to get it work.

Thank you very much.
