Simulating joule heating effect in current collectors connected to cells in a battery

Hi I am trying to generate thermal model to capture joule heating effect in current collectors connected in Li ion cells in battery pack. Basic Model consist of 2 cylindrical cells connected in series. Both cells are modeled as lumped model. As discharge current from cell is constant, cell voltage will decrease. However terminal identification option is not there in lumped model. Need suggestion on implimenting boundary conditions on current collector to get current density and corrensponding joule heating effect. Material of current collector can vary Al, Ni or Copper.
