Hello,
I am having an issue with calculating surface tension in two-phase level set method in 2D axisymmetric section. I have a spherical droplet and I want to calculate the surface tension (in units of Force/length). The force reported by results section is a volumetric force [N/m3]. I have tried the following so far: 1- calculated total force by surface integration (it's basically a volumetric integration as it is in 2D axisymmetric) over the entire domain. Then I divide the total force by perimeter of the projected circle and surprisngly it give me an answer with a factor of 4! So I have to divide it again by 4 to get the correct result. Wondering whai am I missing.
I appreciate your comments.
Best,
