Hello Akshay,
This tutorial on modeling a parallel plate capacitor should be fairly similar to what you have in mind, and will help you get going. This model is also closely related and has a more interesting, 3D, geometry.
To learn how to operate the software in a more structured manner, I strongly recommend the Learning Center. Many additional self-training resources are listed in my post this recent thread.

[This model](https://www.comsol.com/model/tunable-mems-capacitor-123) is also closely related and has a more interesting, 3D, geometry.

The parallel plate capacitor model that I mentioned above (and which you can also find inside the software under the name capacitor_dc in the Applciaiton Libraries under the File menu) demonstrates how to do that with a contour plot. See also the attached screenshot from that model showing isopotential lines on a cut plane.
