Boundary Current Source and Sink

Hi everyone,

I have a simple pair of electrodes, one with a current excitation of 1mA and a counter electrode with a current excitation -1mA, which is meant to be the "Boundary current sink" for the "boundary current source".

However, my computations won´t stop and simply run forever, so I´m not able to retrieve any results, from my simulation.

My question is, wether it is the right approach for this kind of setup, to use the Boundary Current Source feature for a source and a sink?

Hi Sergei,

I was wondering which way this internal boundary source works? It seems to violate current conservation. So I obviously I don't understand it. In what case would you apply it?

Edgar,

Yes, open current path would violate current conservation law for the Magnetic Fields (mf) physics interface. Electric Currents (ec) interface doesn't require explicit modeling of closed loop for current flow. As I understood the problem, it is just a heat source for tissue heating.

I just can´t quite see, where in the model you applied some changes. Everything looks the same, but the results from the one I uploaded are different.
