Weird deformations in assembly mode

Dear all

I am modelling a buried pipe using Structural Mechanics Module.
I have noticed that even when no load --neither external nor gravity-- are applied, there are steel considerable stress and strains produced in the model.
This happens only when I use the assembly mode and define a contact between the pipe and soil.

I have attached a simple model that shows this issue, as well as a picture of the results under no loads.

Could anyone please take some time and advise me on that, as it could be the problem that many would face.
