Initial value for transient simulations

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am modeling a time-harmonic electric motor. Time harmonic or transient simulations are working perfectly. Right now, I would like to use the solution of a time-harmonic as initial value for a transient simulation. For this reason, I am using the solver manager in order to use current solution as initial values.
After this, I push restart button on the GUI. Unexpectedly, time stepping is not working. I beleive the reason is that COMSOL has complex values as the previous solution because I firstly solved a time-harmonic problem and later in transient I should only have real values. How can i make that the initial values are the abslute values of the previous simulation?

Best regards,

Javier Martinez
