More details about COMSOL

Hi all,

I am wondering whether I can receive some details about the working mechanisms used by COMSOL Multiphysics. Sure enough, we know that it is a FEM sofware; however I am looking for answers like:

1. Type of shape functions used
2. Discretization technique used
3. Choice of weighting function, and corresponding calculation

Any light on these, and/or any other working mechanisms about COMSOL MUltiphysics would be greatly appreciated!

Even though I am looking for a more general answer, if I need to be more specific, I am looking for more details regarding Navier-Stokes and Nernst-Planck equations

Thanks in advance.

Best,
Sourayon
