I was studying the effect of radiation on a water surface and I wanted to include the heat loss caused by evaporation. I understand that you cannot do that from the heat transfer with radiation in participating media, so I thought of adding a heat flux and define a total flux using an empirical equation (Kishore and Joshi (1984)), I found.
The function is of the following form
Qevap=l*hc*[Pu-Pa]/(1.6CsPatm);
Where Pu=exp[18.403-3885/(Tsurface+230)];
and Pa, l hc, Cs, Patm are in a constant or variying with time step form
My issue here is how can I link Tsurface so that it takes the values of T from the heat transfer physics used in my domain.
A link also to some tutorial on how to do this would suffice.
Also if there is perhaps an easier way to depict heat loss by evaporation from a liquid surface that would also be helpful.
Kind Regards,
