Hall Thruster simulation using COMSOL

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello!

I am trying to simulate the erosion of acceleration channel in Hall thruster using comsol. And I was wondering how can i couple the electromagnetic fields with drift diffision of electrons and heavy transport modules.

I have also wanted to know which plasma module should I use to modell the plasma-wall interaction to simulate the effect of ion bombardment on insulating wall (Boron Nitride).

I appreciate the help,

with kind regards,

Amin Mirzai

Hey all,

I've been working on a similar sort of model, trying to couple Maxwell's equations to drift diffusion in a semiconductor. This has proved difficult since there's no built-in coupling for the AC/DC module to the semiconductor module, and essentially it comes down to manually coupling two physics interfaces.

Anyone had any luck coupling Maxwell to drift-diffusion, maybe with the plasma module?
