Water hamme problem solving - need help

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,
I am trying to simulate water hammer phenomena to validate the published results for a straight piping system. The piping system is connected to a contact head reservoir at one side and there is valve at the other end of the piping.

Now the problem is that is water hammer module provides a closed boundary condition for the piping end connected to the valve. It means it is considering sudden closure. BUT I want to simulate gradual closing of valve. Suppose the valve is linearly closed in 2.1 sec then how to provide this boundary condition in comsol 4.4. Please help.
