COMSOL, Inc. is seeking a full-time copywriter to join our Content team onsite in Burlington, MA.
Job Description
If you are interested in crafting engaging short-form content in a cohesive brand voice, collaborating closely with other teams and departments, and science and engineering, then this is the job for you. As part of our Content team, you will be directly involved in creating catchy headings, taglines, and blurbs for campaign landing pages, banner advertisements, slide decks, and ebooks; writing short-form articles for third-party publications; drafting social copy that resonates with our audience; developing subject lines and copy for email marketing campaigns; and much more. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Marketing department and management.
Responsibilities
- Write a variety of original and catchy short-form content, such as taglines, headings, and blurbs, for:
- Print ads and web banners, slide decks, ebooks, white papers, and more
- Landing pages for sales and marketing campaigns as well as other miscellaneous landing pages on our website
- Social posts for our LinkedIn, X, and Facebook networks (paid and organic)
- Google Ads
- Covers and introduction pages for our ebooks, magazines, and white papers
- Meta descriptions for various landing pages on our website
- Email marketing campaigns
- Video content on our website and YouTube channel
- Email newsletters to our blog subscribers
- Blog banners
- Work closely with the Marketing department and management to ensure cohesive messaging and branding
- Work with our PR team to write short-form articles (~500–700 words) for third-party publications, press releases, and pitches
Required Skills
- 1–3 years of copywriting experience in a professional setting, especially B2B
- Exceptional understanding of the English language, grammar, syntax, and information organization
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and translate ideas into impactful messaging
- Strong ability to research ideas and create outlines and drafts based on findings
- Ability to write compelling email copy that resonates with target audiences
- Knowledge of best practices in SEO and experience using LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and Reddit
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Openness to revisions based on constructive feedback
- Excellent ability to manage your time and prioritize tasks
- Positive, driven team player
- Current eligibility to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship for employment-based visas will be offered for this position
Helpful Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field
- Interest in science and engineering
- Proficiency in using JIRA and Confluence
